Before our patients decide to get All on 4 dental implants put in they naturally have a bunch of questions about the procedure and what the bridge and implant system is like.
If you're considering getting All on 4, read on to learn more about what it is, what you can expect from the procedure, the benefits and drawbacks of the system.
What is All on 4?
All on 4 is a full-mouth bridge of false teeth that are supported on 4 dental implants. They are angled for strength, and offer function similar to teeth. They are fixed in place and do not need to be removed at all.
How Long Does the Procedure Take? Generally, it takes around 2.5 hours per implant to install All on 4 during the surgery. Since no bone grafts are usually needed the whole procedure can be completed in a day in most circumstances. This lets you go home with your new teeth the same day that you go in.
What Does It Cost? The cost of All on 4 depends largely on the individual patient, but you can expect costs from $18,000 to as high as $50,000 per full arch. We can discuss payment plans for the procedure and different financing options that are available as well to help you get your dream smile, but always consult with us to find out what your specific costs are going to be specifically.
What are the Benefits? All on 4 will restore your smile and give you teeth that function like real teeth. It requires minimal bone grafts and is faster and more affordable than a traditional implant bridge system.
What are the Drawbacks? Though All on 4 uses angled implants to create the strongest mounting points, there is a chance one of the implants could fail, causes the whole arch to fail. It's more susceptible to failing than a bridge that relies on 5, 6 or even 8 implants.
