When a crown cracks off, it is important to stay calm and speak with a dentist right away. Our dentists work to get you in so that they can place a new crown onto the area where it was lost.

It may cause a little pain when it happens, but the most important thing to do is to speak with a dentist, while also ensuring that the tooth is kept clean.

Dental Crown

Crowns are placed over teeth that have had large cavities, root canals or may have broken. These not only restore the tooth to look like it once did, but it also helps the person maintain their natural teeth without having to worry about dentures, partials or permanent implants.

When the crown falls off of the tooth, it leaves the tooth open to problems. These problems can cause further issues down the road if not properly taken care of. Infection is one of the highest dangers of missing a crown.

When a crown falls off, it is important to speak with a dentist right away. You want to clean the area out and refrain from eating anything that might damage the tooth area or go into the open area where the crown was covering. This will help you keep the area clean, but also ensure that it is not painful, that there will not be an infection and that it is easier for a new crown to be put up.
