|Bruxism is a condition where you grind your teeth. While it is possible to grind your teeth during the day, many people grind their teeth while they sleep.
Because they are asleep, they may not realize they are even doing it. There are also some people who can grind their teeth while they are awake without being aware of it. In either case there are some signs that you are struggling with bruxism.
Signs to Look For
It is possible to look for signs that you suffer from bruxism yourself, but you can also enlist the help of a partner to find out if you are grinding your teeth while you sleep. Some of the signs that you can look for yourself include:
What Untreated Bruxism MeansThere are plenty of ways to treat bruxism. The simplest is to use a mouthguard when you sleep. Unfortunately, many people ignore the signs of bruxism and do not start to try to treat it until it is too late. The longer it is left untreated, the worse the problems can become.
