Before you accept the damage that the trauma caused, consider turning to us for some help. What Can We Do? Trauma to the face comes in many forms. Cuts, broken noses and burns are some of the common types of trauma that people face. In our office, we see a lot of facial trauma that has impacted the teeth and gums. When people hit their jaw or mouth against a hard object, bad things can happen. Teeth are broken, the jaw is damaged and there are cuts inside of the mouth. That is the type of trauma that we can offer help with. Fixing the Mess The most common type of trauma we see are lost teeth. The teeth that grow in after the baby teeth are lost, should last a lifetime. If something happens to them, it is a good idea to find a way to replace them. Dental implants offer a person the chance to restore a healthy-looking smile after a traumatic accident. Trauma can also cause the teeth and jaw to fall out of alignment. There are procedures and tools that we use that can bring these things back to the way they should look. The trauma that a person has after an accident comes in many forms. There is the physical damage and the emotional damage. When it comes to the face, healing the physical damage is the first step towards healing the emotional damage.
